As I have told some of you on the phone, and also posted in a notice, we have been having a range of difficulties with our communications since late June. Due to excessive flooding we had to move the physical address of our main phone service.
Sounds easy enough however between voice, digital and toll free service, it has taken nearly a month to get everything straightened out. During this time, I have not been able to get online near as much as I would have liked.
I this point everything is stable and functioning properly.
That being said, I will address a few issues raised here.
First, Kevin, to say that you could not find a way to get in touch with me is completely ridiculous. My contact information is readily available. Even with the phone troubles we have been having, daily there has been at least two ways of getting in touch with me directly. If what you wanted was my personal e-mail address, you might have been better served simply posting . . ."does anyone have Russell's direct e-mail?"
imrcc1@aol.com <-straight to me, also forwards to my Blackberry
support@woodrichbrand.com <Forwards to my main e-mail pretty quick, also forwards to Blackberry but often takes over 24 hours.
I did in fact confirm that you had registered prior to the promotional offer. Now in most cases I would overlook this because it is advantageous to have someone try a proven product. In this case, I was a little upset by your approach so, no free soap has been sent to you.
Next. . .anyone who has registered after the promotion was posted either has or will receive their free product. We are not handling these like "orders" they are not getting processed immediately. We have been doing them in batches.
I will look at/confirm all the new listings Monday. If it is someone I recognize great, if not, I will call to confirm. At that point, I send the batch over so that individual pick orders can be generated. If you have not received your free product and you are in a hurry, or if you have already scheduled a project to test your free product on, give me a call.
Finally. . .Someone raised the point of where I work from. If it matters to anyone I can tell you most of the time I work from home or on the road. Sometimes I am working at the lab, sometimes I am at the warehouse. If I am at the lab I am either working on a problem or something fun. Either way, I may not be taking calls. If I am at the warehouse, I am always working on a problem and will likely not answer my phone.
If you don't reach me at 636-288-8512 you are not going to reach me personally at any other number. There is no need to leave me a message unless your number is not available to caller ID or you can only be reached through a certain extension. I return all of my missed calls from my call log.
When I am not driving around to meet someone or pick something up I work from home. Plain and simple, I prefer to be there and work better without all the distractions.
Regarding the "fragile" state of my location, it was not just my home that was flooded. This was rated a 500 year flood. Many of the supporting utility and communications sub stations were effected. It was declared a national disaster because thousands of homes and businesses were effected.
I could choose to set up shop further from the river to fully insulate myself from this inconvenience. The way I read the odds, I am pretty safe here, If I move a volcano, earthquake, tornado, hurricane or tsunami is liable to get me.
