Supposedly when they call the sheriff the people are gone by time they get there. Only thing I can think is that response times are surely low when it a vagrant call. What I don't get is that when driving over there during day I musta encountered 3 sheriff patrol cars on main road within a mile but they apparently too busy doing other things.
The sign idea makes sense..I don't recall looking up to see one at the exact spot they seem to hang out.
Now it was explained to me one time that the route to go on neighborhood problems is to see if law enforcement has what they call a pop officer for your area (stands maybe for public outreach program??). I guess they work with folks or shop owners directly and you can call them directly without going through dispatch. Sound familiar?
