Boca,

I have three hydroteks (8gpm hot, 5.6 gpm hot, 4.8 cold) They are all awsum and I have had to do very minimal repairs (I think one thermostat replacement a while ago)

I bought the pressure-pro 5.5 polychain belt drive that Doug Lucas advertised on this BBS last sunday. Picked it up on Monday, brought it home, changed the oil and pump oil put into service in my van.... I did have an 18 HP Kohler unit that I built out myself with a gearbox and 2021 pump - I have ran it for 4 years with no problem and the gearbox wore out (replaced it today). I will save it for a spare or ebay it out in the spring.

I will say that I have ran the pressure pro machine all day today and all day yesterday and the machine rocks, the only thing I dont like is the pressure unloader. It is a solid machine.

Just a note: If you can't buy it locally at a decent price, make sure you buy from a distributor who is available and willing to spend time with you and walk you through any repair. It isn't something that you can send back to get fixed.

The 8gpm unit does use a lot of fuel for the engine and the burner, but you make up for it with the speed of it's cleaning ability.
