Sorry guys the thread probably should die but I believe it was started for us canadains ta talk about suppliers and distributors.

Let me kick off the discussion. I'm a new Graff specialist on the best coast and i'm curious if you all have any thoughts or ideas on finding reliable chem suppliers and reasonable quantities for any of the work that you do.

And I do like to talk about hardware/equipment dealers etc as well.

I've been sourcing removers from Graffiti Solutions Canada - Home
and then shipping right across the country.

The gal I get my taginator from in Burnaby will only bring in 4 Gallons at a time. Which is totally impractical.

I source my detergents/soaps and acids from the local Hotsy dealer, so at least no shipping.

Curious if any of you have had any similar challenges.

Hopefully if we contribute to this thread we'll be able to help each other out.

Much obliged.

Chris

Shuswap???? As in near Chase BC. My brother and I were in Chase visiting his best friend two years ago, and his motherinlaw lives on either big or little Shuswap lake.

D_Tagr,
I just grabbed a variety case from Graffiti Solutions Canada, that Cal seems to know his stuff. I haven't had the chance to use any of it yet though - possibly this week. I also picked up some Taginator from a company in Mississuaga.

mike

ps - thankfully this thread got back to what it should be, about business - not ignorance and politics.

I was told that due to a banning of Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether (It's been linked to Leukemia) Taginator was no longer available for sale in Canada. In came into effect on Jan 4. I don't know if it's true, it's what I was told. And my Taginator distributor retired. At any rate I am surprised that Ontario can buy it and BC can't.

Can any of you guys confirm that? Or have any additional info as to whether it's true or not?

Mike - How does the cost from those 2 suppliers compare? And be careful with Taginator on unglazed red brick-it can burn. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the advice Chris! I've heard of Ethylene Glycol Monobutyl Ether just recently but was unsure of it being in Taginator.

As for the price, about the same - with the other supplier the company makes different types of removers for different surfaces - or so I was told when I bought them (yet to experiment). He does seem to know his stuff though.
