All I can ask is why all this has to happen, we live in a great world where there is room for all people. Its just a shame there is soooooo much conflict in our world. Thats life I guess.

What is in store for our children in the coming decades. I pray for peace someday, but unfortunitly dought it.

There are so many things that are funky in that region. Palestine did not even exist before 1917 when the British divided up the Ottoman emplire after wwI. The Jews had moved out and then started to move back in to their historical homeland about that time. Palestine, as decided by the British is acutally much larger. When they divided it up, no one wanted that area at all. It was the least populated and least economically viable county of the Ottoman empire. When the Jews moved back towards what is present day Israel, The economy started being prosperous. What is interesting is that the jews were just moving into the western edge of Palestine, and were only taking up 25% of the land. In 1947, the UN, as one of its first acts looked at the angst in the area, and suggested by written decision that the Jews get the part of Palestine west of the Dead Sea, and the Palestinians get the part East of the Dead sea. The eastern part has now been annexed by Jordan, and was easily the more desirable part due to natural resources. The western part is basically hard scrabble earth with no natural resources. Then Israel was born. At that point Israel was great with the idea. They just wanted to be left alone to do their thing. The Palestinians went ballistic and said that they wanted it all, especially since Israel was startign to be prosperous. Two day after Israel was made a legal entity, it was attacked by the Arab nations. They almost lost the area, but, eventually they repelled the attack and have been building their defensive capabilities ever since. Interestingly, the say the US is providing all of Israels defense weapons, and the US has provided some, but Israel builds their own tanks, personal carriers, and small arms, and they are all world class stuff. Some fo the small arms are the envy of the world.
Israels huge advantage is Mossad, the Israeli secret police/ intelligence agency. They usually know down to fine details what is getting ready to happen. Just a little history, that I found by research on the UN website.

My wish is that every continent would police its own actions and we would get the hell back here and mind ours. The UN is but a shadow of its intended self. I fel bad for Busch sometimes. He gives sound advice and he is blasted for walking the fence. What is he supposed to say? I would say the same thing to my son. Defend yourself, but don't overdo it. I am so tired of the world looking to the US for aid, for troops, for decision making then slapping us in the face for whatever we do is ultimately wrong in their eyes. Figure out your own G--D--- problems, we have enough of our own.

Scott is right; Israel's special forces are considered the best in the world, even compared to the U.S.

...Okay, I'm not saying I don't like Jews (American), but if I didn't, here would be the reason:

1) This is debatable and stereotypical, but one could say the majority of our problems as a country are because we help/support Israel at every turn. Everyone in that general area hates Jews, and hate us for helping them. Who, in our country, are always the Hawks willing to step up and go to the mats with our military????? THE REPUBLICANS!!!! Who opposes them???? THE DEMOCRATS!!! ....But in the U.S. the Jews vote, what, something like 90% Democrat??? So we are constantly fighting battles, harrassed by terrorists, etc. because we support the Zionist. But "they" won't even vote for the faction of our country that constantly has to fight and be the bad guy for defending Israel.

I know that diatribe involves lots of stereotypes, rationalizations, etc., but as a whole, can one argue with my point??

The day we stop backing Israel is the first day of a short journey into oblivion for the United States.

The whole reason we are what we are is because the Bible says "I will bless those who Bless Israel".

You can look to Britain for the last example of a country that lost the "right stuff" after they abandoned Israel. Read about the Balfour agreement and see how fast Britain became a "has been" as far as world domination, gross GDP, and the sun always shining on the land of the Queen.

This all prophecy and cannot be stopped. Israel will always continue to thrive as a country in these last days. If there were any one country i would pledge allegiance with besides Britain it would be Israel. They are brilliant people who enjoy freedom and liberty as much as us.

Just a humble opinion not meant to anger or offend or try to start an sort of an argument

As for the middle east, I'm happy we have the jews on our side. The Arabs hate each other and they will never like or trust us, no matter what we do. If there was no Israel at all, the arabs would still hate us. They have been fighting & killing each other forever & have hated the west forever.


The jews have been our allies and we need them over there. Many fights they have been in would of been our fights if they weren't there

I just worry that many of the arabs are getting more ratical and I fear nuclear in the hands of Iran we all should. There will come the day that we ask the jews to take out Irans nukes for the jews sake, ours and the worlds

I say screw the arabs they teach the children to hate us from day one, what chance do we have to ever expect they'll like us or work with us

Racechaser: EXCELLENT POINT! I wondered if someone would bring up the Biblical aspect of "God's chosen people". While I think they have left God's grace by not recognizing his Son, you cannot deny the 'trickle down' effect they seem to still be getting by being the Chosen.

...Hate being controversial, but back to my original point---why do the Jews vote Democrat?? Even now, people are pressuring Bush to say, "okay, Israel, take deep breath, don't go to far with things". Does Bush say that??? NO!!! He tells them to "do what they gotta do" and that we support them. But American Jews won't vote red!!! This TRULY baffles me! ...And stereotypically, Jews are wealthier than average, biz owners, etc......all reasons to vote red!!

I actually know a lot of jews that are republican. As for why wont the jews vote RED, hell 48% of America didn't vote red. I also know a lot of smart jews , maybe thats why jews don't vote Red, because they are smart!!!

Just a thought,maybe they don't like how some/many in the Republican Party are ultra christian conservatives. Hell in George Bush's sect of born again Christians, they believe that only their group of christians will survive on this world when Armageddon comes. Kind of extreme and not really all that inclusive. According to his born again group most jews & christians are goners in the end. So you better convert or you may be a goner too.

A lot of Jews made money when the presidency was blue too


As for George W and the middle east lol, I'm not sure he's doing all that good of a job.

The jews are some fighting fools and deserve respect for that. they watch out for their own, you take one of theirs and you'll be paying a price, Thats how they survive surrounded by enemes

...Good point Jeff about Jews not voting Repub because they (repubs) are mostly Christian (generalize). Never thought about that.
