Acid wash stone chimeny

I had a builder call me the other day and he wanted me to acid wash a stone chimeny. What chem would I use? BTW - this is on a new build.

are the a lot of tags and mortor ?nmd 80 might work .its worked for me in the past .i havent used it a lot .but i know it works as long as the tags are removed.with a scraper.scprape as much as possible.then nmd 80 it .

Check out Prosoco Jarrod they have some great products for this type work. They are the industry leader in this type of cleaning chemical.

They my be thinking of a diluted hydrochloric acid cleaning. When cleaning grout smears etc from floor tile you can use Sulfamic acid or Phosphoric acid. I like the Phosphoric because it is strong but not in the range of hydrochloric or muratic.
