Screened filtered drains - Mar 31st, 07, 09:49 AM

I am reading through the Gwinett County BMP Water Quality Protection Guideline trying to figure out how to comply most cost effectively. Here is what section 3.2 Disposal Options states.

"Available disposal options for wastewater generated as a by-product of surface cleaning will vary depending on various factors including site characteristics, materials being cleaned, cleaning methods utilized and cleaning chemicals that may be used during the surface cleaning process. Depending on these factors appropriate disposal options include the sanitay sewer, septic systems, grassy areas and screened/filtered storm drains."

I take that to mean I can let wash water run into a screened/filterd drain on site. How do I know which drains are screened/filtered?

You would provide the screening yourself. Landscape fabric works well if allowed.
