New Recovery Unit - Jan 18th, 08, 06:45 PM

I have the means of Recycling and Recovery. Just installed the Hydro Tek AZV 55 but the rain and cold have prevented me to give it a good workout. Plan on going to the city next week to demonstrate and become 1st on a list of EPA Compliant approved Pressure Washers in the area.

Very Nice! I talked to a hydro-tek rep,and it was over $3k,without the vacuum recovery surface cleaner. It is not hard to make a similar system yourself for way under $1k.the components are pretty basic.A vacuum with a pump out(sump pump)inside, sock filter, and oil absorbent pad inside, and a couple of polishing filters that the sump pump pumps to mounted on the outside. You could probably assemble it for under $600 if you tried. The vacuum surface cleaner will have to be bought though,a little tricky trying to modify a regular surface cleaner and get it right.I found my Hyper-turbo vacuum surface cleaner ($1800 new)from Turbo-force,for $425 brand new on ebay, from a guy who never used it.

I've been using Steel Eagle's for over 3 years and I love them. Look into Nikro's Dual motor wet vac and plumb a sump. I've got 4.

I like the nikro drum vac's Craig.I have a tornado dual motor drum vac that I like, that I have a sump plumbed into.I also Have a Hydramaster truckmount carpet cleaning unit with a 16 hp Briggs, vacuum blower, and propane heat that I am setting up for Pressure washing vacuum recovery, and tile and grout cleaning. I also have 2 WAP turbo floodsucker vacs with automatic pumpout. They are the same models used at the pentagon during 911 to pumpout the water to put out the fires. They list for over$3300 each and I picked them up on ebay for under $150 in mint condition.I pump them to a portable wash water filtration unit that has an oil water seperator, and a multi stage filtration, system that includes a koch membrane filter, and three stage polishing filters, with a stainless gould pump for pumping to my waste water tank.It goes for over $4500,and I picked it up for $145 on ebay! I know you can't find everything you need all the time when you need it on ebay,These items have taken a few years to accumulate, but if you look hard enough you can put together a nice system pretty economically.
