The media used on the grease puppy looks just like the media used in paint booths.
So Jon, what was the cost of the filter media you bought? and does it do the same job? Douglas Hicks General Fire Equipment Co of Eastern Oregon, Inc |

I looked at the Grease Puppy website, and their foam will only hold 3 gallons. They say it is designed to allow rainwater to flow thru, but our foam will be submerged in the water, so not sure how that will factor in.
The 3 gallon limit is a concern for me, as I do not want to stop cleaning, so I can change out filters. They probably work great for what they were designed for, but in a seperation unit, I do not believe these are the right choice. |

JD,
Not sure what type of use you have in mind for this, but it is not sheets, but rather pads that are about 4" thick. Check out www.newpig.com they have all kinds of items that you may like. |

I have made contact with a company and have a sample book and prices but he wanted 150 plus pieces cut at one time, like I only need 3 so he did agree to that, would cost about $17.00 each but a given on price till he sees what I have.
The dealer wants $45 each and I bet this is his supplier too. Here is the web page to this company and the person to talk with is Gary Hopkins. PAC Foam Products 1685 Toronto Way Costa Mesa, CA 92626 1-714-662-0277 www.pacfoam.com Email ghopkins@pacfoam.com You can mention my name even though I have not been there yet, plan to this week now that I have a few days rest coming up. Oh the foam we use in case anyone is not sure is called reticulated polyester. They have 6 different types but please don't ask me the difference as I don't know, yet. |

Is this oil absorption foam? So basically, you are buying the foam, and putting it in your recycling unit to absorb the oils out of?
Now the old cogs are turning... This can be dangerous. Scott Stone |
