Water reclaim ? -
Dec 9th, 05, 06:26 AM
OK, Im sorry to say Im totally ignorant to water reclaim and recovery systems and Im sure others are too! Can you folks describe, show pictures and just basically educate me and others on different types of reclaim/recovery systems, laws etc.
For the most part of my work I dont think I have to reclaim, most of my work is condo buildings and its all absorbed into the ground and doesnt go down drains. But after yesterday looking at 2 parking garages that were totally disgusting with tons of oils, I figure i wouldnt want this crap going to the wrong places enviromentally. Also so I cant figure were I should or how I get rid of the water from these jobs, very few drains and drains probably dont work well also. What are some inexpensive types of systems to middle of the road and more to reclaim. recover. In my area I know and have heard there is very little inforcement and Im sure I could get away with alot, but I think its time to learn. Can you folks help me & others who know nothing. Like these parking garages ho do I get the water up and when I get it up where the heck do I put it Thanks everyone in advance JL J L Pressure Washing 843-446-5931 www.JLpressurewashing.com myrtle beach pressure washing concrete cleaning experts |

I am sure as previously stated their is a lot of info on the website history. There are a couple of units out there, that I found through Cleaner Times Magazine and comparitive research. Industrial vac and recycling/filtration units. Nothing is inexpensive.
McMaster Carr sells oil absorbant socks in 10 ft sections, 5-6" diameter that will help as a damn and are less expensive than purchasing in other areas I have found. In addition, McMaster will have it at your door in 2 days or less. I have been to MB on many occations and know the area well as the condition of the parking garages. I believe all drains directly to the ocean! I would be very careful about those jobs, you will be in HI_VIS and that is a lot of crap to wash down to the ocean I use a Vacuboom and a large filtration/pump unit. Jeff just hire me and I will come out of retirement for you, now you will have to spend some money on the equipment I require but it will be top of line stuff so no worry there.
As for classes, no offense to anyone but the main reason they put them on is for you to BUY THEIR STUFF and not a competitors. Do your research and check around before considering any reclaim system. Prices start (or did) at around $1000 up. Depending on system you might need a generator, air compressor, seperate tank for reclaimed and more. Don't have any pictures anymore. Alan post some of your reclaim setup. |
