Two Questions -
Apr 13th, 06, 06:38 PM
When I look on the box of TSP I bought it warned not to mix with bleach, vinegar, or other acids. However, I'm sure that I've read on TGS that some have mixed bleach with TSP. What's up? Second, I just finished staining a fence with my new (second one) 1.8gpm sureflow. Works awsome and very fast, just need to find a nozzle I'm comfortable with. Anyway, I flushed the hoses and pump with mineral sprits immediatly after use then with water. How do you guys and gals dispose of the contaminated mineral spirits?

Hold on to the mineral spirits, it can be reused many times. Just let it settle, and use the clear spirits that rise to the top. Make sure you rinse that Shurflo with a ton of water after the mineral spirits though. The mineral spirits will make everything swell, if left undiluted. If your Shurflo has Viton seals it will hold up OK.

Thanks. I was wondering how many times I could use the spirits. I rinsed with about 4 gallons of water.
