Many of the people just don’t know or understand there own laws. It’s really about your own ordnance and how they deem you to comply with the CWA.

Everyone in stead of talking about incorrect things, Go back and read your requirements.

It’s a great poll and I did spell poll correctly thanks to Barry. I could not vote because my answer was not there.

I comply with the letter of the law to my best ability. I try to maintain the correct practice and compete fairly in my market.

I despise those who use scare tactics on customers that do not understand the law and scare them into a sale.

I made and incorrect statement, dont read your requirements. You city or county may not have a clue. question them.

Over the last few days there have been more prominent articles popping up in the web news about water quality.
One article was from Texas, claiming its among the worst, and today I read one from San Francisco Chronicle.
It claimed the Bush administration had done poorly even though the EPA says they have levied fines of almost 9mil last year for violations of the Clean Water Act.
Also, with algore winning a NOBELPEACEPRIZE for exponentially increasing HIS carbon footprint by globetrotting his film around the world there is no end to how swift the reaction of water police shall be.
It's a head's up, for us earning a living in the power cleaning industry.
If not immediately, there will most likely be strong compliance measures taken when a new regime takes its place in DC.
With the excellent resource provided by this BB we have a great opportunity to further discuss and review improvements in reclaim and recovery products and technology.
Foremost shall be affordability, that facilitates compliance, IMO.

howdy all
thought i would buy in to the de bate , down here some recover and some dont , however the govt. say that industry should addapt to [best practice] approach . the best practice should be recover and reuse , that is what we do, i know guys who where cheaper than us in quotes but missed out as they dont recover and reuse, it has been a good marketing tool especially for large companies which i might add in some cases give you a premium on your price if you have best practice in place .should not this be the the approach to take ,we dont care about the no comforming contractor as like most things cheap and nasty they wont last .
a couple of intresting facts down here an individual using the storm water system for discharge faces 100,ooo dollors fine ,. and company half a million up woods . it has happened a couple of times a year .
just wondering how far you guys travel for work we are off this week to a job 800 miles away and then another is 1000 miles away , mostly though they are only under 150 miles cheers for now graham dean

Ron, et al,

My son is just getting into this business. I own a car wash with pits that are tested for contaminants every 2 years and pumped out about every 6 months. Can we dump my son's recovered "water" into my pits? I'm guess that depends on what he cleaned, right?

solid material is considered hazordous no matter what state you live in.

Your pits should be cleaned more often than six months?
