Reclaiming Surface machines - Oct 31st, 06, 03:20 AM

Here's a list with the top two that I'm most impresses with mainly because of there size. Can anyone add any others and what they consider to be the best and which ones they have.

1-Swabby 48 http://www.cleanupamerica.com/
2-The Turbo twister (36") http://amclean.com/Turbotwister.html
3 -Hydrotek (22") http://www.hydroteksystems.com/acc-hydrovac.htm
4-Fury 2400 (24") http://pressurewasherzone.stores.yah...24vacrecu.html

How bout this set-up for reclaiming http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c...e_1914_8851448 and this one both by Mark From Easy Clean http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.c...e_1914_8360986

John T.

I watched the video on the Fury 2400 and it looks like the man is having a hard time moving that surface cleaner. I dont know if it is from the pull of the hoses or not. I like the one with the vacuum on the unit with a pump out......would be nicer with a smaller vacuum for less weight.
================================================== ==

John Murrell,

That is an impressive unit. Would want to get your hand in front of that vacuum intake.

John,

How much do you want to spend?
How big do you want?
What are you trying to accomplish?
Are you concerned about height ? (parking garages?)

I'd like to talk to you. When would be a good time to call?

Hey Doug,
Everything above what your saying is still a mystery for me. There's a parking garage thats huge by me that may put out for Bid for them to be cleaned. I'm hearing that reclaim may very well be an issue. So If I put a bid in I want a set-up that can handle that and also do other things such as sidewalk cleaning etc. I'm leaning towards that American Twister set-up that comes with a reclaiming attachment. I'm just waiting to hear back from that company. SO basically I want a big surface machine that can reclaim..The Swabby would be ideal but before I buy any of this stuff I need to get a job first that requires it and as of right now I have non.

You can call my business phone at 631-544-4971 and leave a message and I'll get back to you..just give me a day or two to call you back. My schedule is that crazy untill the Powerwashing completely slows down here which is about another Month.

I used a product similar to the turbo twister, didn't see any noticable difference than a regular surface cleaner and it was a bear to move around and get on and off the truck. Have a customer that bought a fury system and unloaded it within a few months. Swabby looks cool though, at least for structures.

The Fury has a good reputation by most accounts and the Hydrotek has a great reputation but they need to come up with a bigger surface machine that reclaims. I just cannot see doing a parking garage with a 22 inch surface machine. I'm surprised that these two don't come with a bigger surface machine.

The Steel Eagle Surface Cleaners are built to last. Often copied never duplicated. Mark builds some serious stuff that is way above what some try to push off as duty qualified.

The only problem about the steale eagle surface cleaner is its size. Not conducive for large flatwork jobs such a parking garage. I think if the Turbo Twister came up where it is self propelled then there going to make a big jump in this indusrty. Just thing about that for a second. Yea there bulky but there large and if they can be self propelled like a regualr lawnmower then there going to be big sellers in the reclaiming industry.

Just think about it along the lines of lawn mowers. Most people have the self propel ones and then the ones who can afford it have the ride on ones...Now thats where the swabby 48 comes in.

I just think that a 22 inch reclaiming surface machine for what I want to use it for is just to small.

Check out this Scrubber http://www.sweeperland.com/pdf/lowres_3800rs.pdf

I remember talking to Kenny Cohen who was a past PWNA BOD and a Past IWCA president about he he cleans the parking garages that he services and he told me that he uses sit on scrubbers which at the time I think he said he paid $25,000 a piece. I would like to see one of these Demo'd somewhere to see how they do on commercial flatwork to..

Steel Eagle needs to come out with a self propelled, 48", adjustable speed, water recovery surface cleaner. Then I'll mount it to the front of my quad. Can anyone clean 100,000' in an hour? :^)

The hydrotek ant22 is good for small jobs . Not for large jobs , I am still convinced that no vac . and a recovery system is a better way to go . If the swabby did a better job of cleaning then that would be the best way I believe . I would have to see it on a big job to be conviced of its cost .

I just got off the phone with Pete Marentey and he told me that the steale eagle reclaiming surface machines can be hooked right into the swabby reclaiming set-up. Thats a huge plus!! So now with the whole shabang you could handle any size job Large or small. Of course this would not be cheap but if reclaiming is an onging issue then this set-up has all corners just about covered.

Now send me that large Reclaiming Job
