the best vaccum? -
Jan 29th, 07, 01:36 PM
I have a pretty large pressure washing company in Az(mostly flat work) and we are just getting into reclaiming at all of our gas stations (and yes gas stations do suck). I think I have almost everything figured out, but I cant decied what vaccum to go with. I saw this on one of the forums:
Scirocco PEV2 Dual-Vacuum Waste Water Recovery Package These look o.k. but does anyone have any other ideals or can recomend something that has worked for you? Thanks. |

A vacuboom might work a little better for you, their berm system is probably the best on the market.

You might want to consider a sump pump. Here is a picture of what we have used.

I don't know where he got his at. But you can fill the blue "lay flat" hose with sand and do the same thing. You can buy a roll a lot cheaper (online) than by the foot at hardware store.

Hello Don M,
I got them from the folks in Ft. Worth. However the weight of the water tears them up and they leak. I post this picture just to remind folks that it is easier/cheaper to push water with a pump rather than suck it with a vacuum! Here is another picture for some ideas that are less expensive that using a vacuum. We blocked the storm drain using 4 ml plastic. We lifted the grate put the plastic in and reinstalled the grate. If you go with the sirocco, I woudl not get the electric version of their vacuum. I had a double motor version and it burned up pretty quickly under heavy use.

I did not see what was on ebay - maybe it just looked similar - this latest one, is the first one off the production line like it - 2x 38HP engines (pictured here with 2x 30HP engines). We will post new pictures with the 38's as soon as we can. Rob |
