impregnators for natural stone -
Feb 6th, 08, 08:31 PM
Does anyone have any recommendation for maintenance of high traffic natural stone sidewalks?
I have been asked to take over the pressure cleaning at a high end pedestrian mall with "keystone" flooring. I haven't been up to see it so I'm not sure what kind of stone it really is. But she told me someone recommended a stone impregnator. I always thought that whenever you start down that road of applying a sealer that it would require repeated periodic repeated applications. I read this article about impregnators and it says that they are not the be all end all. (Please excuse that I do not know how to embed links in the words in a sentence) http://www.mbstone.com/downloads/lit...ut_sealers.pdf Would someone share their stone floor methods please? |

Turns out the deck was brick pavers with a precast concrete border. No natural stone. I talked to Prosoco and they recommended Saltguard which is their water repellent product.
I apologize for posting before I did my due diligence. In the future I will only ask for help after I have tried to find an answer myself. |

... Just remember......i recommend solvent based products on pavers 99.9% of the time.... water based will make no or very little change in look or color. ![]() |
