7200 SF warehouse: PW or autoscrub? - Mar 2nd, 08, 02:33 AM

Hello, I run a Commercial Janitorial business and one of my key accounts has approached me to clean their warehouse floor. We focus mainly on office cleaning so any machines used for this job will be rented, and I am personally indifferent as to which type of machine so I figured I'd ask the pro's here for an opinion. I have quoted $576 for the space, I realize that is a little low but like I said it is a key client and it is a lightly used area, mainly for storage and it should clean up nicely, although it is rather dusty. The concrete is finished smooth. Also any insight to the chemicals I should consider would be appreciated. I am new here and I have learned a ton in the past 48 hours. Thanks!!

It is good if you can get it. Every market is different. The question is, what kind of drainage do you have, and what are you going to do with the waste water?

Since you are mostly janitorial, an autoscrubber might be best. It will probably be equipment you are familiar with, and will not leave as big of a mess. You can also try floor sweep and brooms. 7200 feet is not a really big space. I can do that in a couple of hours with a pressure washer, even with full recovery.

Thanks for your quick reply, as embarassing as it is to say, I didnt even think of the drainage...doubt their is any other than out the dock doors, but that would probably require the squeegee. I guess the auto scrubber would be better if for nothing else familiarity. They want the floor as clean as possible for a visit by the corporate office. I have a month to figure it out.
