Thinking of 8gpm skid - Mar 5th, 08, 02:17 AM

Im thinking of buying a 8gpm unit and can,t remember where I saw a chart of water supply pressure needed.Anyone know where I might find a chart or article to see supply line requirements for different gpm's.

The Hydro Tek SC30008KAF comes with a 1" suction line and a 1/2" bypass line installed on it for tank hook up.

Dont short yourself on the buffer tank. I run 125 gal buffer and am sucked dry at many houses that push 4gpm at the faucet. Then I have to stop and wait for it to refill.
Go with at least 250 buffer.

And don't to forget to work out with Jarrod - so you can build enough arm strength to handle a beast like that.

Jon - I was doing a little math. And with my 5.5 gpm machine, 125 gallons would last close to 23 minutes with the trigger on constantly. I don't think the average house wash gets anywhere near that amount of water? Are you guys just using gratuitous rinse water with your monster 8gpms?

no. but when you do a pool deck, house wash and driveway, you can run out. I have a 125 gal tank. If i start full, and keep 4gpm running into it, I have less than 30 min before empty, unless I take generous breaks, which I hate to do.

I went from a 5.5 to an 8gpm. The first time I pulled trigger it knocked me backward! No kidding. Now my right shoulder always hurts from the extra kick.

Sounds like I need to stay with my 5.8 gpm....My workers probably could not handle the 8gpm since they both are women.....
