Cold water gum removal. - May 7th, 08, 10:24 PM

I have the perfect solution for gum removal. It is tried and true for cold water. Simple Green dirveway cleaner and good ole elbow grease. What I do is use the cleaner at 1/2 strength. 2.5 gal water 2.5 gal cleaner. Use seperate sprayer of course vs running through washer. Let set for 8 to 10 min. Then use a wood handled straight edge or manual grass edger same thing but rounded. Comes right up with not alot of effort. Less than 1 second per piece. Yes this sounds like a pain but it keeps you from spotting concrete or whatever surface its on. And who is happy when you are done. The customer. And its also biodegradeable.

If you can't do it right the first time. Don't do it at all. If you take longer than others so what. You will have a customer for life. Instead of speeding through and possibly missing something, and losing the client. Like so many others have done and still do. Also bid high and let them talk you down works every time.

I would not even try to bid a commercial property trying to remove gum and oil without a decent hot water system. just my 2 cents worth.

The majority of my work has been homes. Dont really need one. But if I happen to get the big commercial will surely get one.

Dude, just keep doing what works for you and don't worry about everyone else who aren't doing your jobs for you.

Yeah, hot water is easier, but if you don't use it much, then it's a big fat waste of your money. I have a hot water machine...I can count on two hands the number of times I've needed it...I could have put that $4k I spent over what I'd have spent on an 8gpm cold machine to much better use.

I will say this...if you DO buy one, don't fall for the lies of part time "suppliers". When it comes time for customer service, they just push off to their supplier, because they usually don't have a clue. I ran into that. Buy from a real, full time, time tested supplier who will be there when you need assistance. Even if you have to pay shipping to get the equipment.

Mike, I'm pretty sure we both bought from the same supplier. When I did have a problem with it, the supplier went above the call of duty to first help diagnose and fix the problem, second review what was covered at that time under warranty and third, assisted me as a liason between the store where it was purchased and myself.
It always helps to understand what is covered and for how long.

I knew what was covered, and for how long...but hey, thanks.

Maybe we bought from different suppliers..The guy I bought from doesn't have a clue (or at least didn't at that time) about hot water machines and how to diagnose the problem. Either that, or he simply had no interest in helping.

Now, the company that supplied him with the machine he sold me, they did go out of their way to help me diagnose the problem.

I guess it just goes to show you, different people have different experiences with the same supplier.

C'mon Mike.....Save your sour grapes for your new job. Everytime you bump heads with someone online you have to try to run it into the ground like a sad broken record for months or years on end. You wouldn't shut up about Gary Schell using sodium hydroxide on roofs for well over a year after the rest of us moved on. Now you've got your big panties in a wad with me and can't move on. No one cares. I've sold equipment to several others on this bbs and others and they've always had a positive experience, as you also implied at the time, both online and off. I'm not going to play your cowardly, neverending games forever, but I will reveal your lies, deceptions, indescretions, contradictions and descrepancies as needed. Speaking of which, someone mentioned that they had heard you were out of business. After a little research at www.sunbiz.org - Home it was discovered that North Florida Pressure Washing was apparently no longer listed as an active company in the state of Florida since the fall of 2007 (9/14/07) and has apparently been disolved. Is North Florida Pressure Washing out of business or are you just running an "under the table" cash operation these days? If so, maybe you can be named an "Honary Senior Forum Leader?" I'm sure there are a few here that would prefer not to be deceived by you. If you are out of business, say so. If not......???

Here, let me beat you to your lame (as always) retort for your instigated arguments......"Chill Dude!"

All Seasons Exteriors, Inc. hasn't sold cleaning equipment since the fall of '06. We're an exterior cleaning contractor, first and foremost....and most likely will be for a long time to come.

I'll now return you to your shadow boxing, Mike.
