Need Some Help Pricing McDonalds!

Hi guys,

I just looked at five McDonalds chains the other day and i have no idea how much i should charge. He wants it done twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Places that i need to wash are the dumster area, not the dumpsters. There are three concrete pads that I need to wash that are used in the drive through area. And all the side walks around the building, including the brick walkway. If you have any information for me it would be really helpful.

Not sure about prices, but i would ask him if he'd like that "super sized" and have the buildings done twice a year.

Hey TJ,
We service a couple dozen BK restaurants up here twice a year, and what you describe is what we do also. Several of them have the building washed once a year also. Can't really tell you what to charge, but be aware that they'll be filthy every time you do them, because twice a year is just not enough to keep them maintained. I would price them like one time cleanings, and remember that you'll be doing A LOT of gum removal in the drive thru's. They'll take longer than you think, so don't underestimate.

I've been trying for the last three years to get them onboard with monthly cleanings, but they're just too cheap to spend the $$. Good luck.

We do 7 of them MONTHLY and thats not even enough, they are FILTHY every time!!

I was just talking with a guy about doing his McD's not far from my house. Same list of washables, VERY dirty, lots of gum. He was pretty enamored of "about 80 bucks a cleaning, twice a year".
I doubt I'm very interested at that point.

Have you made any traction on pricing with them?

My conversation was in the checkout at the grocery, he saw my cap and shirt and was curious, who knows what they actually pay? He might have been tugging my leg.

Maybe if he was in uniform and I knew for sure he was on the up and up would I have entertained that convo. I don't know about "tugging" but coulda been some lowballin yocal doin more than tugging to yer leg.

Thats thread has some real live contracts to give you real world advice.

Mcdonalds corp is a great customers, they are really doing well inthe economy and have increased the need to be cleaned.

Those contracts are old, increase them by 20% and you would have a closer real world price.
