Ron,
Is there any E.I.F.S. on any of the bldg. ?Proper cleaning of that material would be very beneficial to those who have never had the chance to clean that type of material.

I love my xjet.

You allowed to mess up the building on purpose??

Incorrect walking on roof tile breaks tile,
Various chems getting on windows or metal trim can either leave hard to remove residues or ruin them,
Not properly watering plants before and after chlorine cleaning kills plants,
Non softwashing of grafiti can scar some wall surfaces,
Cleanign any oxidized surface can call in a need for the whole surface to be cleaned or repainted,
Standard high pressure can ruin wood trim,
Allowing too strong caustic runoff on asphalt can leave nasty residue or strip the asphalt,
Not prewetting adjacent surfaces can cause staining,
Too strong of a muriatic acid wash can expose aggregate or can even leach up nasty yellow glue/dirt in some slabs,
Being quik and careless or using improperly adjusted surface cleaner can leave swirls,
Being quik and careless with a wand can leave zebra stripes,

Geez, I don't know what else... Hey ya could set up a trampoline and show example of a slippery roof..

That one is huge. This old building has wood frames. Dont see that much anymore, but usally doors get destroyed by caustics being over sprayed. Good Point Kevin

Oh and on the chems gettng on things. Please discuss in whatever format you plan to present things whether chem caused permenant damage or temp damage. Like maybe you could show cases of the cause being the cure. People have hard time removing residues sometimes when all they got to do is use product again with proper rinsing...
Caustic on doors would be considered a permenant damage requiring refinish of course.

It keeps eating the concrete and attacks the strenght. It reacts with the hardeners and doesnt stop attacking. Prolonged use ultimatly results in cracks and broken concrete.

You would be better off using a safe dilution of HCL with metal inhibitors. ( If you use acids, or have the need to.) Plus here the soil is hot so you dont have to worry about plants. ( its will lower the PH in soil and make plants grow better)

using any chemicals are all about safe uses.

These are some good ideas, and i see the damage often.

We are going to do serveral new training videos for our own use. I thought we could use some of the extra stuff in simple format for the BBS.

Maybe you could R&D my latest boosted DIY downstreamable deck stripper idea on the wood?

Is untested as of yet..

In fiver:
1/2 gal Napa Parts Cleaner (butyl, nonylphenol)
1/2 gal RV Winterizing Antifreeze (propylene gycol-likely not as much inhibitor junk involved..maybe at Napa, Kragen for sure)
40-80oz of hydroxide
1/4 cup Dawn
1/2-1 gal water

If solid stain or looks like a tough clear try the whole can of parts cleaner and the higher amount of hydroxide.. if the water takes it that is, gotta get past the saturation point. If it doesn't touch the solid after 15min wet dwell try it straight. In DSing this quantity may go 1k' ..might even do a rewet.

Kevin, test that. I would think that much Dawn will make it too soapy and a pain to rinse.

I;m certainly no wood expert, but hey I give this a shot. I could test stripper after stripper.
