How much grease? - Jul 24th, 08, 03:57 AM

I just purchased my second surface cleaner (got a stainless steel unit this time!). Both of my units had a grease fitting on the hub, but the people I purchased them from had different ideas about how much grease to lube them with. One guy told me to load it until it wouldn't take anymore, and the other said to just give the grease gun a squirt or two whenever you use it. What are you guys doing? Just curious! The things are expensive and I want it to last as long as possible!

Don't overload the unit, too much grease can blow out seals on some of the units, and force grease into areas it should not be. Just give it 1-2 pumps when you use it and that is fine, more is not always better a little grease can go a long way.
