vagrant bums?

Besides baby sitting a property with constant patrol or hosing them down does anyone care to share ways to minimize vagrants and bums from hanging around?
Did a complex this weekend and when I went back next morning there were bottles, cans, cigs, spit tobaco..basically all messed up! Complex manager wants to kill them all as they drive tennants away. The perticular complex is about only 50% occupied as it is with one being one of my floor accounts. I go to pick check up today and there was about a dozen just shooting the breeze around corner of building. Is rediculous and would just like to pass info along to manager if there are any good ideas.

I don't care who's president, there are always gonna be people who would rather not put forth the effort to make a better life for them selves.

Move the complex out of Northern California? San Francisco was chock full of bums, vagrants, homeless the last time I was out there. Must be some kind of magnet.

Unemployment is only 5.7%. (that is the statistic that was reported this morning.) That is as low as it ever was under Clinton. 4% is considered nominal, or absolute full employment. Sorry to burst your bubble. Believe me, I have offered plenty of jobs to homeless, and have been uniformly turned down. There was one exception, but he only lasted three months before he decided that I was too rich and that I could afford to pay him to sleep in teh truck. For what it is worth, when I hired him, I asked him what he wanted to get paid, he said $8 an hour. I paid him $12, and that was still the result I got.

Depending on your local laws and regulations, if it was posted no trespassing, no loitering, it would probably have an effect. Even if there was just a sign with threats of prosecution, it would probably reduce the problem.

Supposedly when they call the sheriff the people are gone by time they get there. Only thing I can think is that response times are surely low when it a vagrant call. What I don't get is that when driving over there during day I musta encountered 3 sheriff patrol cars on main road within a mile but they apparently too busy doing other things.
The sign idea makes sense..I don't recall looking up to see one at the exact spot they seem to hang out.
Now it was explained to me one time that the route to go on neighborhood problems is to see if law enforcement has what they call a pop officer for your area (stands maybe for public outreach program??). I guess they work with folks or shop owners directly and you can call them directly without going through dispatch. Sound familiar?

I don't know it be wise to threaten some these bums. The older/quieter hobo type bums are off sleeping out back and but the front ones are a different breed. Some them look like they got nothing to loose and probably break a bottle and cut you without a thought. Disfunctional brains, scuzzy dirty woman, young mad dogs in drab green seem to be the norm. I think parkway policing have been kicking them from river camps more and more and they got no where else to go but to hang near their next drink.

Well their 'cover' pees, chews & spits, litters, pukes, etc. all over my work with not a shread of respect to anthing. Kindness doesn't come to mind here....neither as it applies to them or the comment you offer. I mean the word passive comes to mind though... Thanx for sharing just the same..

Heard on the news yesterday that as of June, we hit a record high for inflation. Hang on to your hats, it has not been this bad in ...... anyone....anyone..... 27 YEARS!!!!!! Our economy is in the toilet.Beth
