Stencil Demo Florida - Aug 31st, 08, 01:23 PM

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-HGRjq2Gkk

About 30 guys saw this and one got the free stencil.

A couple guys wanted to order the stencil and the others didnt care.

I wanted to share this with the members of TGS that do Flatwork.

These are great ways to show the owner GM DM or any person that make the decisions on how clean or dirty the concrete really is.

Its works better than a conventional demo.

Good luck to all

Ron,
We have a small yellow page ad, mail flyers to specific demographics each month, about 2-400, Promote our web site and business on everything we own. NETWORK. We don't want work more than 30 miles from home. Our logo is the McDonalds of our area. Only in recognition, not price. Everyone knows it. We get over 50% of our estimates and keep busy 12 months a year. Last year we did 450+ jobs.
My question was why are we filling up BBS space for commercials? I believe there is a specific place for commercial business? Thank You.

Terry your a painter? yes... My fellow PW have a battle ahead keeping the indsutry standards high.

Its somewhat of a comercial if thats what you want to call it. Putting it here is not doing anything for me, its helping the fellow washer.

If you ask around the guys that have used these since we started using them have made a few bucks with them.

I guess i should not be surprized about your comments. Its seems the Uamcc is making practice of giving bad opionions of products they have never used.

Terry, what exactly would you like me to tell you about the product I have used for the last few months on a daily basis.

How about it raised the price on one particular account 60% from what my competition was charging. (the customer told me it was only because of the stencil he even thought about making the change)

I'll be back to list about ten more reasons this is a great product. I gotta make a sales call, I just dont know why folks are so negative about sharing with others.

Ron,
Please stop. I do not want any bad mouthing of the UAMCC over here. You want to say that, do it on PWI. UAMCC is brand new again, and still putting things together. I do not believe that they have taken a stand on any product, I'm not sure there is even a committee for them at this point. So please curb the remarks like that.....

Thank you.
Beth

I was just sharing the honest truths, its seems people in general make assumptions about products without using them.

We can leave teh Uamcc out of the picture. I realize people are responsible for there own actions. (Your right Beth, not a Uamcc thing) I apoligize to Carlos for actions of His people. i have spken with him and he is working very hard not to have this perception.

I guess my point is why people have such negative objections to positive feed back.

This Stencil thing will change alot of lives for contractors that work with it and use it properly.

I just help others and enjoy raising the standards of the industry. With or with organization positive support.

People are entitled to their opinions of products. That's what's wonderful about America, if you don't want to buy something because it's not your thing, that's fine.

I do appreciate it Ron and I do Thank You for taking the high road on this....this is not the position of the UAMCC.

Beth...thank you also for stepping in there.

The below text is something I shared a couple weeks back regarding Distributors and Manufacturers on the UAMCC BBS. I am sharing it here because I know that Ron has not been over at the UAMCC BBS.

Hopefully this will "clear the air" a little bit about the position or lack there of with the UAMCC and the distributor/manufacturer community!

Great post and certainly a touchy subject ~

Here's the deal. The UAMCC has NOT as a group discussed the relationship that the ORG will have with vendors and/or manufacturers.

We will communicate again, as we have planned, to talk with the vendor community to continue our discussions with them. Again if you remember, we have had calls with them in the past. The UAMCC will, after speaking with distributors, will gel a structure/policy around this subject.

As we have in the past, as announcements or important topics come up, we will put them on the UAMCC BBS for continued dialogue.

Michael spoke to me as he did with the other members of the transition team about this topic and we will discuss it more on tomorrows conference call. This is a touchy subject and it was not the UAMCC's intention to put this in the spotlight as it turned out to be until we get our arms wrapped around this.

As the leader of the UAMCC, I apologize to the folks that have read these post and felt that the UAMCC was on a rampage to judge, muscle or finger point at the distributor community. That was not our intent nor is it our position nor has it been our position.

The UAMCC has NOT made it ....yet. We are humbled ...very humbled to have accomplished what we have done thus far but we have many roads to travel. The pace and agenda from Day ONE has been fruitful due to the fact that our promise to the industry has been one of diligence, respect, honesty and empowerment. The UAMCC will and is a contractor driven organization.

The Transition Team will agree with me when I say that being a member on the transition team is a priveldge and with that priveldge comes a enormous amount of responsibilty. But we are also human and unfortunately our human emotion took precedence over of what should have been a productive and positive dialogue. I take full responsibility of this and I can only assure you that we will do everything humanly possible to fulfill our quest in establishing an organization for contractors.

Each member of the transition team has my full support. I did not pick nor will future transition team members be appointed to the team on a "are they liked or disliked" in the industry criteria. For the person that called me up to complain. You will find that you will get more accomplished by focusing in on the problem vs. the person.

Now, some may want to continue to kick this can down the road as a distraction for what we are truly doing here. I hope not but we cannot control the keystrokes.

The run up to establishing a new org is not easy...if it was then it would have been done a long time ago. It is my feeling that the industry has giving the UAMCC a chance to embark in this direction. You as the contractor will and have put a great amount of trust in allowing this to happen for the industry. Again, we at the TT level DO NOT take this trust for granted and we acknowledge that we must still continue to earn your trust as the UAMCC unfolds.

Thank you for your support and your patience!

Your absolutely correct, i make educated decisions about products with first hand knowledge.

I suppose your right, everyone is entitled to make assumptions and incorrect statements about things they dont understand and know.

I understand that you dont want opionions made here about Orgs. I realize and understand.

So over and out about this organization.

Very nice post Carlos, I see why your the right guy for the job.

Will see each other in SC in a couple more weeks.

What has been failed to see is that Terry asked if Ron was posting a commercial ad in the flatwork forums and that was it. Ron has his own spin on things and Terry said what works for him. Terry never reference the new org but Ron had to plug it in and light the fire.
Ron you may not be the vendor of these items but do you expect me to believe that you do not benefit from their sales in getting you a discount on yours?
Choose the right forum next time and I doubt their will be an issue.

Oh I get it, Terry thinks it a commercial for Stencils.

No its a great program for flatwork guys to make money.

I dont recieve any monies from www.powerwashstencils.com

I also get free ones given to guys thru networking events. We have given these away at roundtables events.

I now see the point Terry was asking, I was not clear. thank Allen for pointing that out.

Terry , I hope you now undertand that i dont sell anything but information. I give that away for free.

I want to ask you guys a question, dont you guys sell PW?

To me this is a pressure cleaning BBS. I dont want trouble here with negative stuff.

I stay positive and focused on my pricipals and fundamentals.

Sell sell sell sell sell sell sell sell, That all folks
