That thing better double for an ice cream truck in the summer months for that kind of dough.

A guy here it Atlanta has one. Jury is still out on it. A lot of initial problems, but he is working it out. It looks pretty cool and have seen it in action. About $80,000.

Will it do Roofs? LOL... I've seen that video before. Looks like an awsome machine. As long as your doing big contracts and paking garages (assuming it will fit in them) I'm sure you could make your money back quickly.

I am sorry but I do not see $80,000 there. I would never buy it. That looks like about a 30" cut. I would say you are very limited on how much water you can carry, If I am wrong please correct me.

According to the website it clears a 40" path. I saw an Australian website of a company that has one and it stated they could operate several days before needing to add water to the unit.

What is really impressive about this unit is that it is self contained. How well it actually works is another story. I would like to see it in actual operation.

This is an honest review by me who has the complete Swabby Rig. The thing is cool. No hoses to attach to a pressure washer and it does recycle the water as it goes. Apparently the filters clog frequently. The main fault I see is in the turning radius and being able to cut around columns, and tighter areas. Wide open areas I think it performs pretty well. People talk about the investment and it not being worth the $$$ an so on. It is pretty cool to clean 60,000 sq ft in 3 hours and make 3-5K !! Or 300,000 sq ft in two days and make $15,000 I do and it is an investment that paid for itself many times over.

A machine like the Swabby or Cyclone has its purposes and can get you much larger and more lucrative type jobs. Ultimately, it is just another tool - not an end all be all.

Jeff,

How clean is the water as it goes back through the system on the Cyclone? I have a recyling system that filters down to 10 microns and the recycled water is very murky. My filters clog frequently too. That seems to be a problem in all the systems I hear about.

I quoted a 60,000 sf center last year that this thing would have been great on.

They are local to me. We even had some talks about them coming to the phoenix round table. They are really poor about returning phone calls, which to me is a bad omen. Also, I understand that there are some lawsuits out there against them concerning their equipment.

As for filters clogging, that is something that is endemic to all recovery systems of this type. It is a problem that I frequently fight with my system. I am actually looking at other types of filtering systems, so see if I can make it more idiot proof.

I saw they were in Tempe and wondered if you had any contact with them Scott. I have three filters in my system a 100 a 50 and a 10. With all new filters the first clog up usually happens after a couple of hours. At that point I replace only the 10. Next clog I replace them all.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have scheduled a demo appointment with them here in MSP. The quote they gave me was way out of line at around 100K. The unit has 4 wheel steering to help with the agility. It would be nice if they were available for rental so I could use a few times and build enough commitment to justify they large expenditure. There is no way that I would consider dumping 100 K on this though. Just not enough history. They will have to sharpen the pencil to tempt me. If anyone happens to find or hear that they know of someone who owns one, I would appreciate if they would pass that on to me as well so I might get in contact with them and pick their brain.

I had a demo scheduled too and they flaked on me. Funny thing is they called me and said they would be in the area doing demos and we set up a time but they no showed. I called about an hour after they were supposed to be there and they said I had cancelled through the main office and they were on the way back to AZ. Flakes

I wonder if it might work. You could strip the guts out of the mower mechanisim, add a spinning wand with two tips. CUSTOM
