Holy moly! I just got the sale flyers today to see who had what on sale and it seems as though the sales have been reversed. They are almost twice as high!
I could not find anything around here for less than $299.
Guess I am going to have to do the internet thing as you have suggested.

Pretty much every store I've seen has these for around this price. Even wal-mart had some today. If the store is out of stock, ask for a raincheck. Many times they will give you a rain check, and will honor the sale price when they get more in stock.

Just bought the largest screen GPs I have seen 5 inch Cobra 5000. Got it on ebay for 309.00 and bought the 3 year ext warranty from ebay for 36.00. Saw this same unit at Circuit City for 399.00 and warranty at 89.00....Ebay is the cheapest way to buy just about anything.Will get this within 1 week and give it a workout for sure.....

Went to circuit city to see in person the different models....The cobra was the largest and the sound quality was good......You can go to ebay and search cobra gps and find the one I bought on buy it now.Bought the square deal warranty which if for any reason they can,t fix the unit they will send you ck for the 309.00 to buy another unit....

Hey Rod,

I bet you carry a laptop in the truck so you can read tgs on the go, right? You can get a GPS USB antenna and microsoft mapping software for about 100 dollars.

That would be the way to go if you're already running a laptop in the truck. A lot larger screen too.

Nope on the Laptop. I bought one for Beth for that very reason though so she can keep tabs and get her email. Something to think about though. We just haven't found the extensive need for an air card yet.
