An alternative way if your computer is not functional enough to allow this (such as an HD restore, for example):
IE for WinXP...the location is C:\Documents and Settings\UserName
UserName can be the name of whomever the account is assigned. Generic folders for all users will be under the All Users folder. Copy the entire folder and all subfolders to another location. Or compress them into one file for emailing.
*Note, however, that if you have set your favorites to set under your username folder in the Docs and Settings, then you will not be able to access them if you put your hard drive on another computer unless you have enabled sharing beforehand.
In Mozilla Firefox (Mozilla refers to them as Bookmarks:
file is locate under
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\defaults\profile\bookmarks.html
Just save, copy, or send this file. Then save it to the same folder on another computer to use. Or you can import this file back into Mozilla. Another way is to open Mozilla, go to Bookmarks, Manage Bookmarks, then File, then Export and name the location destination.
