I do know if it is in the SHARED FOLDER it cannot be saved or copied to the laptop.
And I cannot find the "C" drive on the desktop, just shared folder.
Ok guys n gals that know how to do this stuff teach me.
PS: One more thing, can I configure Outlook to send mail but not recieve any?

Hi Jon,
Open Windows Explorer. Right click on the folder you wish to share and click the Sharing Tab. The second option should be Network Sharing and Security. Check the Share this folder on the network box, give it a name, and allow network users to change my files.
You can also do this for the entire C: drive as well. I would recommend you set it back to not share the entire drive once you have your files.
I use Outlook Express but Outlook should be similar.... I assume you are wanting to be able to send from both computers but check your mail on only 1 of them. Setup the email accounts on both computers. Then select Tools->Accounts and view the properties for each mail account you have setup. There should be a box that says something like this: "Include this account when receiving or synchronizing". You will want to uncheck this box for all accounts and click Apply. Do this only on the computer you do not want to receive email.
