email attachment help - Apr 29th, 05, 05:19 PM

I am using outlook express to open emails from charter. How do I change the default picture attachment to another program. I currently have ulead open every attanchment and hate it. I would like to use my 602proPhoto Suite the default. I can't remember where to go to do that. Someone please help.

I can tell you how to work around it....
Save the attachements to a folder.
Open the software you wish to use to view the photo.
Open the file from within the program.

Maybe Tony will have the real answer...

Reed, are you using Internet Explorer? If so, try Tools...Internet Options....Programs You can make some changes there.

I haven't used Outlook in a long time, so I can't be specific, but look for a Preferences setting. There may be a spot to change the program that launches pictures.

That's all I can think of at this minute. Beth's idea is a good work-around, that's also how I'd do it if all else failed.

If you open up My Computer and go to Tools....Folder optons...File types...Then you can assign which program you want to open the file type with IE jpeg> Photo Suite.
