Microsoft Media Center Edition 2005 O/S? - Jan 26th, 06, 01:42 PM

Hey Gang. Could someone please share their experience with Microsoft Media Center Edition 2005 operating system? It seems centered on the integration of TV, music, video, etc. Does it fall short, though, on the business/productivity end? I'm not much up on the mp3, webtv stuff anyways.

Has this O/S in anyway prevented you from running the business-end of your Quickbooks, MS Word, Excel, ACT, desktop photo editing, everything web, MS Publisher or whatever other business-apps you use? I don't have a need to connect via VPN to remote NT or company domain, nor network multiple machines in the house.

BTW...I believe it's going to be a Dell Inspiron 9300. XP Pro is available at an additional $115.

Thanks!
/neil
