Act! - Mar 6th, 06, 11:29 PM

I just bought and installed ACT! software tonight. I'm looking to be able to create databases that contain customer lists.

I've spent some time in the help area, trying to decide how best to set up what I need. THe problem is, I want to set everything up right the first time, so as not have to re-do if I screw up.

Does anyone have experience with Act that could help me get setup correctly?

I'd really like to talk with someone that could help.

Thanks in advance!!

Tony,

Have been using Act since it was a dos program and have experience with goldmine as well. You can do a lot with Act but you have to decide what information is important to you. Spend some time figuring what info is important and how you might like to be able to use it. Once you decide this you can customize the database to suit your needs. Also, it is very easy to customize and make changes as you go so don't be scared to get started. You may also want to investigate third party add on products to get ideas of the power and potential of Act. A good site is www.actaddons.com . They also have support groups, etc. Feel free to email if you have questions.
