GPS with a PDA -

Just thought I would share my experience with using my IPAQ for GPS navigation. I bought a Holux GPSlim 236 and iGuidance (MS Streets & Trips is not as nice - tried it - and no voice directions on a PDA) software (about $100 each) and it works! Straight out of the box, it works. The GPS unit is able to find satellites even indoors. Very simple to install (even I could do it). I wish the sound was a little louder (using less AC, more windows open = more background noise.)
iGuidance will integrate your contacts list, so routing to existing customers (assuming you entered them previously) is very simple. Directions are clear and its very easy to follow along on the screen, though you really don't need to look at it often - just an occasional glance.
If you deviate from the assigned rout, the software will automatically - and quickly - plan the best route to the destination from where you are. Sometimes telling you to make a u-turn and sometimes finding another route altogether.
If you have a PDA, I would strongly recommend adding GPS.
P.S. The GPSlim communicates via Bluetooth to the IPAQ and has a 10 to 16 hour battery.

Reason: Add a P.S.
