Oh yeah it's a very bad weakness for me to walk in any electronics store!!
I love it so far and taking 8.1MP gives me a file of over 3 MB BIG pics!! There are soo many settings i'll be reading the manual and and playing around with it allday. All i have is some boring fences to stain next week but you know me i'll be snapping all of them! ![]() Wood Savers of Texas "We Beat the Weathering Problem" 713-203-1648 |

Yeah i shopped around online and found 675-750 but i would feel better to buy it local.I would rather have it repaired local versus shipping off to get fixed. Wood Savers of Texas "We Beat the Weathering Problem" 713-203-1648 |

We got it at Ritz Camera in the mall. They were one of the only places that had it at the time, and she just had to have the black version which limited the choice even more.
The salesman tried a super hard sell on the extended warranty which was a few hundred bucks. I never buy EW's and this guy was very upset. After all his hype on how good the camera was, (we came to buy so he wasted his time with the sales pitch) he started to babble about how sensitive they were and how badly we needed the warranty. Over a year now and she has no issues other than how well it works. If you find yourself taking closeups of strange items on a regular basis to test your macro and pixel count, you might be a Rebel XT owner. |

I agree Allan i hardly ever buy the EW's either and usually if you do have a problem it's within one year.SO atleast you have the 1yr. manufacturer warranty.
I got my cam at Conns they wanted almost a 75 for EW. Alan where do you buy extra lens's? did you buy canon lens or aftermarket ones? I'm looking for a wide angle lens. Wood Savers of Texas "We Beat the Weathering Problem" 713-203-1648 |

The EW at Ritz was several hundred. If it was only $75.00, I may have done it.
No extra lenses yet, as the stock one has filled the need. She uses it a lot, but is not a pro photog and doesn't really need another. Of course if I ask hher, she will want one. |

New business name for Alan: One Tough unloved Pressure Washer! I have been looking for a digital camcorder and am leaning towards the JVC GR-D 395. Any suggestions from others that have camcorders? Not willing to spend a grand plus, $300 to $400 range. |
