I have the Panosonic Tough Book that the Highway Patrol and Military uses. It is expensive but after the sticker shock well worth it. http://www.panasonic.com/business/toughbook/home.asp
I bought a 1 year old demo model for 1/2 price thru a sales rep that needed storm damage repaired on his home. A Mans Honor Is Not Measured By How Tall He Stands; But For How Often He Bends To Help, Confort and Teach

Dell is it for me...their support, while having declined in the past few years, is still superior to most brands. I used to own a computer networking company, and I swear by Dell. Just my 2 cents...

I've help a friend shop for laptops and i've found Toshiba had some of the best looking screens and recieved some of the highest ratings for laptops.
I've had friends that owned Dell laptops and all of them seem to have problems with the screens or the power supply plugin. It's a machine with many moving parts so they are not all problem free 100% of the time. Especially the screen as many times it gets open and closed the hinges are bound to go bad at some time. It's always best to get the best warranty for as many years you can get one for. Wood Savers of Texas "We Beat the Weathering Problem" 713-203-1648 |
