The National Air Duct Cleaners Association - Jul 2nd, 03, 08:27 AM

http://www.nadca.com/

The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) began a program to certify professionals in the air duct cleaning field in November of 1995. Since then, more than 1000 contractors have passed the NADCA exam and have been certified as "Air System Cleaning Specialists".

Certification can be obtained by passing a NADCA certification examination. Exams are offered at several sites throughout the country on a regular basis.

Check out the link for more information!

Nadca - Feb 16th, 06, 02:35 PM

With regard to NADCA, I am all for contractors whatever their specialty is to be certified, however in my opinion NADCA is way to expensive to join, and from my uderstanding they lose as many members as they sign up each year. Primary reason for losing members is the cost. I pay $190.00 to Pwna for membership, I am not going to shell out almost an additional $1000.00 per year just to say I belong to NADCA. When Nadca comes down on prices I will consider it, until then NO WAY!!

Yeah, but you're a power washer. There are folks out there who believe it or not, don't pressure wash and do other things instead. For them, it may be a better fit. If we were into duct work exclusively what benefit would we get from being PWNA members? See the point? This BBS serves all aspects of the contract cleaning industry and tries to touch on other add on areas as well....

Actually Beth I am a duct cleaner as well, we Pressure Washing as well as do Air duct/Dryer Vent cleaning. The cost of NADCA is WAY overpriced for your return, in my opinion.I have talked with several duct cleaners who are or have been memebers and they tell me to forget it.

Cool. I never knew that. How long have you been cleaning ducts?

Air Ducts - Mar 27th, 06, 08:48 PM

We added Air Duct cleaning last year.I purchased the equipment then flew me and the guy who works for me down to Texas to get training and factory certification. So far we have done well with Air Duct and Dyer vent cleaning.

Hey Steve I am looking into buying a rotobrush and I am wondering is it as good as it sounds. Is it easy to use and get the work? I am setting up a lease with Ed and hope to get my system in the next few weeks. Please let me know what you think and if you have any suggestions.

Its like anything else. For some people this association is worth the price and for others it does nothing(Sound familiar).
The Boma org @ www.boma.org is a little pricey but some people swear by it and they make alot of money from there membership.
