Time to Surf the Web!
I am excited to report that our Association’s new Website is now up and running. So, if you haven’t checked out pwna.org lately, it is time to do so!
The new and improved layout reflects a more polished and professional image and will prove to be a real benefit to PWNA members. The latest in technology has been used to ensure Website optimization – so that people searching the Internet for power washing information will find the PWNA first.
In addition to providing more information of value to the power washing industry and potential customers, the new Website provides PWNA vendors, suppliers and contractors several opportunities to advertise, with direct links to their own Websites.
The ‘Find a Contractor’ link allows you to provide potential customers with all relevant contact information. I urge you to visit the Website to double-check your listing and, if you have a Website of your own, let us know so that it can be linked to the PWNA site.
The Website redesign project was conducted under the direction of Mike Hillborne. On behalf of all PWNA members I would like to thank Mike for volunteering to oversee this enormous task.
An Extra Electronic Promotional Opportunity… Free to PWNA Members
Henry Bockman of Henry’s Houseworks has also been investing time and money into a Website that all PWNA members should be aware of.
The PressureWashCompany.com Directory has been set up for the power washing industry, including contractors and suppliers. This is an additional resource to help people find contractors in their areas. Henry has graciously offered to let fellow PWNA members post their contact information at no charge.
The Internet-based directory contains listings from contractors all over North America, including residential, commercial and industrial pressure washing services. Launched in early July, pressurewashcompany.com is currently averaging 30 to 50 hits a day for consumers looking for pressure wash contractors.
“Inviting PWNA members to list contact information for free is my way of supporting the great work of PWNA and its members, and to promote professionalism in the pressure washing industry as a whole,” said Bockman. “This new website provides PWNA members with another great way to network and increase business during slow economic times.”
PWNA Conference

The Conference Committee is working diligently on your behalf to put together an amazing annual conference. Be sure to mark October 23-25 on your calendar and plan to attend. The annual conference provides great opportunities to network with other pressure washing business owners from across North America, learn from some of most well-respected people in the industry, and meet supplier representatives.
The annual convention is considered to be a highlight of the year for many PWNA members. In a few fun days you can learn what has taken others a lifetime to learn. It keeps you apprised about regulatory changes and environmental issues that are affecting our industry. Being well-informed of potential new rules and regulations allows you to prepare and maintain a profitable business.
Annual Conference is also when we elected a new Board of Directors. I respectfully ask that you considering stepping forward to help. We welcome new ideas and know that good leadership is paramount to our Association’s success.
A list of this year’s guest speakers, educational and certification programs and vendors will be posted on the Website very soon. Please note that to reduce printing and distribution costs and be more environmentally conscientious, pre-conference information and application forms will not be produced. All pertinent information is on the Website.
Remember, space for this year’s event is limited. I urge you register as soon as possible and encourage you to volunteer some time to help during the event, so that your hard working Conference Committee members have some time to network too!

Clean Across America
Several PWNA participated in the Clean Across America community service program in July. This year’s national event was once again a joint venture with Take Pride in America®, a national partnership program aimed at increasing volunteer service on America’s public lands. If your company did any special pro bona cleaning projects this year we’d love to hear about it. Please email any details and photographs to head office and we will consider posting them on our web site.
