kitchen ceiling tiles - Jul 28th, 07, 10:03 AM

I've search the forum for the best place to ask these questions and I think this mite be the best place (if there is a monitor of the post thinks there is a better location please move it)

I do repairs in restaurants, and work with about 40 chains, each year I try to add services. I'm considering ceiling tile cleaning. Most kitchens have a vinyl covered ceiling tile and most need cleaning.

I've done some research and there are a few franchise out there but theres big bucks up front. I'm not sure I want to go that route.

Any suggestions for information, equipment and chemicals would be appreciated.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to replace them?

Take a lok at Ceiltech Ceiling Cleaning - Leaders in indoor environmental restoration since 1986 They have what you need to add this service on. They have apackage for companys that are starting out or for establashed companys that want to add on. I have talked with someone that has used this and it works.

We use our vapor steam cleaner. We spray some degreaser on the tile let it soak for a bit then vapor steam clean with a white cloth attached to the end of the steamer. Of course you need to change out the rags quite offten.

Hope this helps!

I remember putting a little bleach and water in a spray bottle and spraying the popcorn ceilings in a hotel that I worked at years ago. It would take out just about any kind of stain from smoke, to leaks from the floor above.
