The Grease Police is proud to finally announce the formation of the Grease Police Association (GPA). The GPA is a unique organization specifically for serious kitchen exhaust cleaners (KEC) that are dedicated to improving the kitchen exhaust cleaning industry. The GPA and its members are the new authority in the kitchen exhaust cleaning industry. The GPA strives to have every kitchen exhaust system cleaned to the current NFPA #96 Fire Code and will be proactive in educating and regulating KEC and the GPA members.

The Grease Police Association began as a group of kitchen exhaust cleaning professionals that realized
the kitchen exhaust cleaning industry was in need of vast improvements. Phil Ackland, IKECA
and CHDCA have all made big improvements to our trade, but a body that would hold kitchen
exhaust cleaners accountable for their actions had never been put in place. We decided it was
time for a change.

NFPA 96 is a very important facet of our industry, but who is making sure that it is enforced? Who is making sure that kitchen exhaust cleaners are actually cleaning kitchen exhaust
systems to the specifications laid down in NFPA 96?

The Grease Police Association has decided to take on this burdensome task. Not only will we police our
own members, but we have developed a method of reporting any kitchen exhaust cleaners that
we find doing shoddy work to the proper authorities. The design of our organization is such that
it takes some of the heavy load off of local fire departments. In essence we act as an arm of
local authorities to ensure that the companies in our industry are remaining ethical.

Along with patrolling the industry, we are also the foremost educational body for kitchen exhaust
cleaning methods. The tools and chemicals that we have developed over the years make it
virtually impossible for kitchen exhaust cleaners to neglect their duties. We can reduce the man
hours and materials required to get kitchen exhaust systems cleaned to bare metal and
remove any risk of fire spreading through a restaurant's ventilation system.



The GPA has many benefits for its members. Most importantly:

1. The GPA is a brotherhood of kitchen exhaust cleaners dedicated to improving our industry.

2. The GPA and its member will have access to the most up to date methods for cleaning kitchen exhaust systems and will teach each other trade secrets from the east coast to the west coast.

3. The GPA will be setting the new standard in the KEC industry, thus it's members will be fully educated on the current trends, laws, and requirements.

5. The GPA members will receive custom education for the KEC industry that can only be found within an organization such as the GPA.

6. GPA Members will have the opportunity to attend the GPA conferences and roundtable discussions

7. GPA Members will have access to new and innovative KEC marketing materials to improve your business.

8. GPA Members will receive the GPA Newsletter.

9. GPA Members will receive special pricing on the GPA Store items.

10. The GPA will be a collective voice lobbying fire marshals, insurance companies, restaurant associations, and the legislature for its members. The GPA Members will be beneficiaries of this movement.
