Thanks dave got all the parts now. And I will have it working today. I will post the plans of the foamer I made. But it mixed foams at the cornelious tank. So I can only run 20 feet of hose. And it's no fun to take up to the roof. But it make tons of foam. I put it on a dolly and take it in to the kitchen and it works good like that. I will post pictures of it.this weekend.

homemade foamer plans -
Jan 15th, 08, 09:18 PM
Glad to hear you got one working, Bob. Let me know if you have any questions or problems. I can see some advantage to only having 20 feet of hose as rolling up 100 feet of hose is a pain. I'm looking for a hose reel now.
Did you use a brush as the agitator? I tried stainless steel brillo pad, washers cut from Scotch bright pads and nylon window screen and they all worked well but decided to use the brush. The others tended to bunch up under the air pressure while the brush didn't. I'd like to see your plans. I'm hoping people will post any modifications to our designs so everyone will benifit from them. By the way, I cleaned a TGI Fridays consisting of three Supreme fans, hoods and filters in two hours and twenty minutes. This included drying and stainless steel polish on the hoods and back wall. The foamer cut our time by at least thirty minutes. |

Foamer Video -

Great video! Thanks for posting that. I think some have been holding back building one because they weren't sure it worked.
Although it works well, it is a prototype and I'm sure there is lots of room for improvement particularly in the agitator area. I'd like to see any mods you come up with. I have a safety tip. Since the hoses are attached to the gun with hose clamps don't yank on the hose by pulling on the gun, reach down and grab the hose and pull on it. The same applies when pulling it to the roof. Tie the rope to the hose a foot or so below the gun and pull it up that way. |

OK I went one step farther and did'nt us barb fitting Or quick connects
I used the lock type on the cornelius keg an cut the top off at the O ring and drilled it out with a 7/16 drill and taped it with a 1/4-18 npt for 1/4in. pipe thread. You can see it in the picture. So all the fitting are 1/4in. I got the 100ft. hoses at lowes for $22.00 And the needle valve with male pipe threads on the gun from FitZilla - Industrial Brass Fittings and Valves the quick connects on the hoses are opposite direction so you can't mix up the air & chemical lines. So no hose clamps on this baby. And I got the refrigerator condenser brush for the gun at lowes Now I will put wirers ties on the hose ever 6in. and tape. Thanks david for the plans could'nt of built it without you. You are the man with the plan Marianna,FL. 850 209-3570 |
