Beside it being a foamer rig you can use for stain sprayingand other things as well...just have extra lid rings handy as they'll swell up and make tank useless...
Mine is not setup specific to foaming yet and would be interested to know what the favored chem and ratios will end up being for the grease to run screaming for help. ..oh and also, since it is foam and not a real large amount of product being dispensed all at once (unless desired) it would be interesting to know how long the canister would spray foam without being actually hooked up to the air supply. Can we get some feedback on this?Suyrely beats the heck out of a pumpup foamer. Heck maybe even just a bike pump could get some more time on it if location has any trouble running compressor. Houses having enough breaker amps and the lid ring is about only problems I have with my sprayer... Spraying caustic rather than oil and commercial establishments probably prevent either issues..... Case anyone wondering..yes I been planning on becoming a part time greaser...It fits me well being a night owl. ![]() Sacramento, CA "Wood Refinishing-Pressure Washing- Concrete & Vinyl Floor Care- ~~~> done right by a leftist coast" mmienterprises@hotmail.com |

Well Guys and Gals,
For those of you who have built the original foamer shown in this thread and said that it is the best foamer they have used, I thank you. It is nice to have something you came up with appreciated by others. I have to tell you that I'm not one to sit on my butt when I know there is room for improvement. I have been sick the last few days with a bad cold but have used the time making some design modifications. My goal was to produce a foam so laden with chemical that it could only be applied about one inch thick before the weight of the foam would cause it to slide off. I felt one inch would be ideal since it would remain as foam long enough to do the job and still contain enough chemical to eat off carbon. I have done it! I can produce the foam with the two foaming additives I've tried so far and I can do it with cold water. It is a huge improvement over the original foamer. My next goal is to find the ideal soap/foaming agent and tweak the design to work best with it. |

The two chemicals I have tried so far are DMF-1 from Dultmier and Super Concentrated Detergent from Morgan Gallacher. They both work well.
However I'm still sick and didn't want to spend too much time outdoors doing testing. I can tell you that the New foamer is almost an order of magnitude better then the original if thats possible. It works so well that I can't imagine improving it anymore. Now to find the perfect foaming agent. |

I know how you can make it better. Make it so you only need one hose.
