hotsy brand degreaser ok?

I have a local distributor here that sells hotsy products. He told me about a degreaser that is great for hood cleaning called ripper 3. here is the breakdown for a 5 gallon mixture they sell. it is non foaming so will have to add dawn.
potassium hydroxide 10-15%
sodium metasilicate 1-5%
furfuryl alcohol 10-15%

will this work.

I did recently buy a non caustic to try as well. It is called Hood Pro from Envirospec. anyone have any experience with any of these?

Never tried the Hotsy, but the Hood Pro works very well. I like that it doesn't burn at all, but be careful cause it will harm your skin over time. Do yourself a favor and mix it up as soon as you get it. You are going to have to give the Hotsy stuff a shot and see how it works out.

Those percentages sound pretty decent. Other rough cleaning tasks I seen rates of 6-9% so that 10-15% the Ripper is at really should rip stuff good.. That said, the person you may want to try and get ahold of is Hotwaterwizzard (John) over on ptstate or maybe PWI. He works here at my local hotsy place and but has also sold other caustic based cleaners prior with other companies.
