    What foamer is best

I am new to the board and i see most of you guys use foamers. Did a little research and was wondering if a single line foamer like the FI-5 or the FI-JR was better for hood cleaning. I also was told about one with a air diaphram pump you could mount in your van or trailer but this would create a wetter foam. Any help on this would be great.

The best ones are the Mean Foamer 5 from Delco Delco Cleaning Systems

It is the same as the FI-5. The FI JR is the next best, you will be able to go up to 200' with these but you get less foam.

do you have to reduce hose size to get 200'. how much hose can you put on before you loose good foam.

Ok I do not know anything about the foamers that are out there I have sean few talk about foam 5. I went to delco saw these there AF-10, AF15 ST-72 foaming lances and the super foamer model sf-12. What I am asking is have any one used them did you like them or hated them I am new to the foaming so any help would be nice.

The cheapest/easiest is the ST-12, just attach it to the end of your lance and foam away. The next would be the pump up foamer, it requires a lot of pumping, but it is cheap and easy. The Mean Foamer runs about $600 and requires a compressor and quite a while to get used to it. The FI-JR is a little more expensive, but easier to use than the mean foamer, but it makes less foam, and it comes with it's own compressor attached to the unit.

I'm not Matt, but I would tell them to get a magnetic scraper.

One easy way to tell the difference between a "hood cleaner" and an "exhaust system cleaner" is to look on their truck and see if there is a used (greasy) magnetic scraper.

What's it say about a new hire, that brings his own magnetic scraper to work with him?

Some would disagree with that Nalgas... I know of some KEC'ers that just keep their stuff really really clean

If those people were successful, they would be too busy working to keep their tools clean...or at least their crews would be.

JK IMO, how clean you keep your equipment/tools is a direct reflection upon how much pride you take in your work.

Order the pump up foamer from delco or sanitationtools.com. See if foaming is what you really want to be doing. It's the cheapest way to find out if it works for you and will let you know which direction you should go.
