HELP designing bus cards and logo - Oct 11th, 08, 11:40 PM

After being in this business for 18 yrs, I now find, after scrutinizing these forums, that I probably should have some kind of logo, signature, and something other than plain text on contracts, etc. Our business cards are a scratch pad and a hand shake. I need to catch up with the times. I designed everything we have been using, but it is all text , no Pizzazz like you folks. Some/most of you're Web Sights are VERY GOOD. I have NO idea how to establish a http://www. ???????
If you can give me some guidance or help i would be SOoo appriciative !!!

Logos, business cards, etc. - Oct 15th, 08, 10:45 AM

Besides hood stickers, we do logos, business cards, etc. I checked out KBK Graphics and their prices are very competitive, less that what we charge.

Before committing to them, be sure to ask how many proof rounds you get for $200 and how many choices you get. Also think about whether the logo you get will work equally well for business cards as it does for caps and shirts. Get the logo in two versions, black & white and 4-color. There will be some occasions when you want to use the black & white version to save money. Try to get a logo that works equally well both ways.

If you go to them for your logo design, be sure to get the final logo files in EPS format as well as JPEG and PDF. EPS format will work on PC or MAC systems and can be read by any professional graphic design software such as Adobe Illustrator or Quark. People who make signs and vinyl graphics that go on your van will want your logo in EPS format.

When you are ready for a service sticker for the kitchen exhaust hoods you clean, let me know.

We've all seen these less than attentitive web sights, you know the boiler room style, where sights Bob-up,
notice I said Bob-up not POP-UP
, the one size, seeming fits all , web plan !!! The only difference in these plans may be in the color hue, size of the bouncing ball, star, and click here scenario, instead of a M-90firecracker you discover a lackluster smokey worm type introduction .(boring). We need to put some sizzle awareness in your/our web sights .. Our sights should invoke an awareness to a cumulative havoc that can accrue with just a wisp of a spark and a grease pod ....Disaster !! We have a very limited time frame to invoke the attention of a shop owner, chef or manager. To at least Try to grasp the Powerful insurance, mechanical safety blanket that we instill up on them ... Did you hear about $$@#%&^%$# it burnt to the ground last night ... heard they were hiring those lowbllers and fire went right up the flue. As concerned greasers and businessmen/women we MUST SHOUT the word of the inherent dangers of NOT HAVING quality work preformed such an intricate part of their operation .. WE MUST EDUCATE, EDUCATE, EDUCATE THE BENEFIT OF THE FFDA -CODES OF ACCEPTAMCE. TAKE TIME DO YOUR WEBS RIGHT. To do so we just May Need a helping hand, i;e KBK

Thanks for sharing that - remember, vendors should promote themselves in the vendor area...
