I have a gas/ diesel pressure washer and when i start it up after sitting for a few days the water comes out with a rust look to it for the first few gallons . I think its the heater tank lines rusting from the still water. any one else have this ?

now, yes. It happens to my machine all the time. Between rust in water in different parts of state, rust in fittings and stuff. Dont worry about it.

I have not seen this happen in machines that do not run DI water through them. Of course, I am just a newbie. Really though, you might need to descale your machine to improve its' performance. It will help the water flow, and reduce the amount of rust.

I am calling BS on your question. You sound like a newby, not a person with any experience. When did you start in the grease business? Are you a HO?

Mr. Dodsonish, your question is without merit and is frivolous. Just how long have you been a greaser? Are you a greaser? Or are you one of those flat workers?

No, I do not think you are making rust colored water up. Nor do I think you know what to do with waste water. Your questions & posts are those of a person with no or little experience. How long have you been in the grease business? I am not asking for gross $, number of accounts, just how much experience do you have. You can answer in years or months or weeks or days.

In response to your question about Baker City, the population has been 9,000 to 10,000 since the turn of the century. About 17,000 or 18,000 in the county. We go about 150 miles south, 75 miles east, 150 west and 125 miles north. We do not have a Wal-mart, and I hope we never get one. They have not helped the small business person at all.

My company has been in business since 1978. We cover most of Eastern Oregon, and are licensed as a General Contractor by the State of Oregon, license 78491. We offer portable fire extinguisher service, installs and service of kitchen and industrial fire suppression systems, clean agent systems, exhaust system cleaning and service, fire sprinkler service and repair, emergency & exit light service, grease filters and containment, gas appliance repair. We are members of various proffessional orgs, including NFPA, NAFED, NFSA, and a founding board member, past president, past secretary of OR-FED. I am certified by ICC, IKECA &FPC for various life & safety operations. I have 20 years experience as a firefighter, including a couple of years as a white hat. I am also proud to be a member of one of the world's largest charitable orgs, the Lions. This year, my people and I have received 68 hours of formal training, not including monthly training in house. We are a small company, consisting of myself, 2 full time techs, 2 part time techs and a part time bookkeeper. References supplied upon request.

Now it is your turn. I retain the right to call BS on any false claims. A HO is a term used to denote a home owner, a person who may be posing as a professional. Go! Your turn in the barrel. If you pass, I may propose you for membership in the Grease Police.

I am 30 years old and started cleaning the exhaust system for a restaurant i worked for when I was 16. I found it to be lucrative, Then have added a few accounts a year and started servicing full time about 2 years ago. You post bad things about me and questions i have.
