New Venture When I Stepped Away From the Industry

As some of you may remember, I stepped away from the power washing industry awhile back to concentrate our efforts more in the direction of the landscaping/concrete business.

As luck would have it I came across some individuals that shared my vision and desire to make a big splash in that particular industry. As New Look Power Wash, we did some restructuring over the last several quarters to better use our manpower and also free up my time to focus on the landscaping/concrete and help launch our supply store ~ Stoneyard Masonry & Building Materials.

As you can see from the enclosed pics, this was a huge undertaking as there were many risks involved ~ especially with the housing market not being as robust today as it was when this idea was conceived.

Everybody that had their hands in this project/launch did so with the utmost professionalism and I am simply amazed what can happen when people park their agendas at the front door and leave them there. Anything is possible!

Anyways, I would like to introduce you to the business that I am involved in when I am not spraying water or stamping concrete. Needless to say my days are filled up.

Want to clarify something that maybe I said that could lead people to think that I own this. That is far from the truth. The 1.75 million that went into this was financed from two of my friends. They don't even come around.

I am charge of bringing in corporate accounts and working with vendors. I threw my time at this project when the doors opened to position it so that business would be continuous.

Working with K.B. Homes, Citation Northern, Davidon Homes and of course your plan ole' home owner.

Just want to clarify so that folks don't think I am the only one behind the helm.

P.S. I do plan on buying out the owners in about 3-5 years

I need to add one more pic. For those that are in concrete should be familar with Brickform color. They are the 5 galloon pails. Thats our inventory in the brickform color ~ the other side of the shop has more of the color and then the release color. Earlier in the season we were going through the inventory in about 45 days.

Also, we sale the Davis color directly to the Concrete/Redi-Mix companies out here and it is premixed right at the plant.

This operation is geared more towards the contractor vs. the home owner. I am trying to tweak out the details as we speak but I want to position the company so that builders use us directly for A/B rock, topsoil, rebar and etc.

Next Spring we will introduce all irrigation materials - pvc pipe, valves, sprinkler heads and stain

Alan - this is all new. The idea unkowing to me was hatched by 2 other individuals. I for one did not jump into this until after the building plans and land purchase was complete. We saved money as we did all the curb work, cinder block bin work and slab work.

Trucks...the flat bed was on a delviery when I smapped the pics. Red p/u truck belongs to the operation and my truck is a multipurpose p/u for everything and anything.

We are having our grand opening this weekend....11-3.

Send a mailer to EVERY contractor and builder in your area for 3-4 months.
