I would have love to get into landscaping. Seems like that a really good business to get into as well. Everywhere I go I see a landscaping truck. I just can't handle the sneezing and running nose.

I can understand that. I have asthma, and it can be pretty annoying. One reason that I chose Pressure Cleaning, as the water keeps the dust down.

My mother used to be part owner of a popular local florist. I spent my teen years around plants and flowers working in the store. I love to garden. I have thought about landscaping, but not seriously.

Lots of customers one stop shot. It's another reason to think carefully about the services you are considering for your business. Think about what's popular where you are.

I found out about this site over at Binary Dreams. My wife and I have been in the construction clean-up business for ten years but not the kind I have found here. I remove the drywall scraps from new and remodeled homes. We also do some lot clean up but I try to stay away from it as much as I can. The builders don't want to pay what that is worth. Last year I began to expand into light landscaping and lawn maintenance. It started with a retaining wall and I just won a bid for a new lawn install on a three-acre new home site. I'm happy to have found this site (I think it was beth&rod that pointed me here if LadyBeth is one and the same) the info on presure-washing may come in handy if I follow through with my intentions of adding that services as well. I have been reading some about interior cleaning here a bit and found it to be very interesting. I have often been asked by the builders if I provide that service and until this year I haven’t considered it. I may rethink that now. I have two daughters that I could put too work if I added that service. LOL My real name is Randy Scott and my wife and I own Scotts Dependable Services Inc in Indiana. I am looking forward to learning what I can here and if I can I will be glad to help others as well.

Nice looking site.

Allergies aside, you want to go into the landscape biz but you said that everywhere you go you see landscaping trucks. So what can you do that they can't? or what will set you apart and make people want to call you instead of all those other companies?? Is the market too saturated in your area and if so will you be able to make any money with a lot of competition bidding the same jobs?
Not trying to be negative, just insightful.

if you already have allergies to grass, etc., they will only get worse. I used to love mowing my lawn,(yes ive already been called wierd by many,) but last couple years, I itch so bad after Im done, I have to shower immediatly. The allergens are cumulative. Stay away or hire cheap labor to do it.

I control my allergies to dust with psuedoephidrine. Works great, although long term use may lead to adverse side effects.

I don't have any allergies, but I actually ware my respirator when cutting the grass due to all of the dust. Its either that, or picking dust boogers for a week.
