Recent overlay project - Nov 30th, 06, 07:05 PM

We FINALLY finished up this patio today, beating all of the obstacles that we have experienced on this project!!! When I finish running through the umpteen pics we took during the process, I'll try to get up a step-by-step of the whole thing (No comments about the wood please...we're working on these folks for that!)

Yeah, those bricks looked rough but we weren't hired to clean that. Here's a before picture of the patio which is probably why they aren't too worried about the bricks there......they're getting covered back up! They laid the pavers and we fixed up the concrete pad

Thanks......Roger was the measurement genius on that ....he actually drew a scale replica of the project on a piece of cardboard so we could be precise. The homeowners really liked the geometry of the pattern

Wow I love it, I know you charged the right amount to color those bricks, that can be a real PITA! Another great job! Hey, how do you guys prevent color from bleeding into the joints.

We avoided the bleed on this job by not using the integral colors in the texture coat - which means, yes, we hand colored each and every brick. That actually went faster than anticipated and I enjoyed that part the best. The homeowner was funny - he said that it looked tedious and he wouldn't like to do that (even though his profession was archaeology - don't they sit and brush brush for hours?)

Thanks for all the compliments folks
