Field Testers Wanted

Extreme Solutions, Inc. is actively seeking field testers. We are going into the final stages of testing a new product we are calling Wood-Tux Clear Advantage.

This product is being developed to satisfy those customers who "Like the way the deck looks wet." As a contractor that was one of the most popular requests I would get from the homeowner. They would tell me they wanted a clear finish because the wood looks "so pretty" when it is clean and wet. Then I would have to explain that if we went with a clear, their deck would be gray in a few months.

We are going to change that conversation and allow you to say YES to those customers who want a more natural look.

ESI has been working with one of the leading nanotechnology innovators in the coatings industry. Utilizing their nano-particulate technology, we have been able to produce an oil based "clear" sealer with an extremely high degree of transparency. In addition, the UV blocking nature of the nanoparticulates, is delivering results that are beyond our original expectations.

Our current goal is to release a product that will offer 12-18 months of protection with less than 2% color shift. That will make this an ideal product for biannual maintenance programs. Based upon our ongoing testing, I believe that we are right on track. This will be a highly maintainable finish meaning that you will not have to strip to perform maintenance and reapplication.

We are going to offer a very limited release in the spring of 2008, with the official product release set for spring of 2009. We are especially interested in high altitude field test data. If you are interested in the technical specifications, I can get into that. We don't have tech data sheets yet as the branding has not been finalized. The base is obviously the same as Wood-Tux. The can color is a milky clear and it dries clear with a flat - matt finish. There is minimal opacity and it brings out the natural beauty of the wood. Sample Photos available upon request.
