Wood-Tux Brown Sugar - Jul 18th, 07, 04:44 PM

I have been getting a lot of requests for sample pictures of Brown Sugar Wood-Tux. Each of these projects were stained with Brown Sugar. Notice how it looks different on each project. On reddish wood like red cedar there isn't much difference between Brown Sugar and Warm Honey Gold. On very light or dark wood, it finishes more brown.

These pictures all came from one of our customers. He uses brown sugar exclusively so I knew that anything coming from him would be safe to post as brown sugar samples. There is certainly a chance that he has posted some of them as well.

Heres a few shots from a pressure treated deck done with brown sugar. Mine aren't quite as brown as the others for some reason, but it still came out great.

Chaz...pine and ipe....are like concrete and marshmellows.

I had a customer ask for their deck to "shine"....I asked why..."it looks pretty"..do you want something that is designed to last or to be pretty?..

Wood Tux...dresses wood like its heading for the red carpet in my book. Humidity is its biggest enemy, but...understanding customers are in love with the results and are willing to give an extra day

You really have to be aware when using Warm Honey Gold on wood like yellow pine and very white cedar. It can tend to finish very orange. Some customers like that orange look and hey, that's great.

Brown sugar usually gives a much more natural finish on these very light types of wood.

You been away a short while..do ya consider this very orange? It's the result of that western cedar color. I liked it..
