Ben Hare Sales Inc. has come out with an amazing new gutter cleaner "Gutter Brite" that will remove those ugly black stains without brushing and ships Non-Hazardous (cost savings). The beauty of Gutter Brite is that when it's used to clean gutters it doesn't leave that chalky look that sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide based cleaners. It also doesn't remove paint like the sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide based cleaners can. It sells for $16.00 per gal. , $45.00 per 5 gal., $325.00 per 55 gal. . It is brushless (with a pressure washer rinse) at 2-1 . We have tried it at 5-1 and is still brushless in our testing although each application is different. Remember, the key to cleaning with Gutter Brite is giving it adequate dwell time (2-4min.). It won't burn the paint off like some of the other products if left on a little longer and leaves them with the "shine".

butyl melts paint - it is a solvent.

Bob sells a potassium hydroxide based gutter cleaner - specifically to not harm the paint - so I don't understand why you lump it in the category of sodium hydroxide. Gutter grenade leaves gutters totally shiny! It just removes the oxidation. If it can't get the job done - nothing can!

Even though apparently people use butyl based, it is known to soften and swell vinyl in general and strip paint when strong... Could depend exactly what butyl is being refered to though.

Gutter Brite does have some butyl, and the rest is trade secret. I personally have never used Gutter grenade, so I cannot speak for it. Gutter Brite doesn't have enough butyl to hurt the alum. or vinyl.

I bought one of his sample packs on my birthday..hoping to get that "discount"...turned out the F13 was mislabeled as F8, glad I called him to make sure first.

I'm content with my current gutter cleaning product and processes.

Like I said earlier in the week Gutter Brite worked great on vinyl gutters but the real test will be this weekend on metal gutters that have not been cleaned in 5 years....will let you now.....
