How was the DC Area Round Table???

Yesterday was the DC Area Round Table. We had 24 folks join us for an afternoon of networking.

We began with lunch, at La Mexican Restaurant. John Bradshaw of Tsunami Services in Md. stopped by to show folks his rig, which is for sale. Please see the post in the bargain Basement.

Chuck Boteler from National Revenue Corporation spoke about the top 10 pitfalls of collecting bad debt.

Celeste from Carolina ProWash brought her laptop and some folks talked about Quickbooks.

Bob from PressureTek brought a cut away pump and showed folks the inner working and talked about how they work.

Tom Vogel from ACR Products brought a burner from a Landa unit and talked about how to troubleshoot your burner.

Henry Bockman spoke about PWNA's Clean Across America Program.

The meeting began at 1pm and went until 5pm. Folks networked, shared info, and seemed very enthusiatic. Everyone is looking forward to the next event!

Thanks to Beth, Rod & the folks from La Mexicana for making this a great experience - the turn-out was terrific with folks from MD, PA, NY, OH, VA and NC. Experience levels varied from those just getting started to long timers. This was a superb networking meeting!

I drove six hours to the event. It was worth every ounce of gas and time. I will make very attempt to attend the next one.

Anyone who hasnt attended one of these round tables (newbies and oldbies) you should do so. You will find that many people share the same enthusiasm and passion for the profession as you do. Plus you will learn a lot of information and gain contacts that will grow your knowledge base and ultimately grow your business.

Thanks all! The thing about these round tables, is that what makes them wonderful is your wilingness to give of your time and energy to attend one. Without contractor participation in the spirit of networking and growth, they are nothing. We highly suggest folks get involved in them, and make it a habit. It will grow on you once you attend one.

I enjoyed yesterday's event, picked up some good information from the experiences pro's in attendance and enjoyed hanging with a great group of people.
